The art of kandaharism (chasing) is an art form that has been used since ancient times, and in its antiquity ranks second after pottery. This lagan (sometimes also called lali) is made of copper and has a pattern in the style of kandokori. In the center there is a shashbarg pattern. It is a Tajik word meaning "six leaves". The flange is bordered and has a tulip pattern. Zamin (place pattern) is carved with a shallow steel pencil, varnished and polished. The result is a beautiful work of art with a unique design.
