About work
This picture shows the architectural ensemble of Shakhizinda. The artist described three buildings of this ensemble, located in the south of the Afrasiab hill. The first of them is an elegantly decorated two-domed mausoleum, which is considered the home of Shakhizinda, that is, the “living king”. Its blue dome glistens in the sun and has retained its integrity to this day. The next mosque and madrasah were integrated into the main building, their constructive style is typical of the architecture of the 13th-14th centuries. The artist also attached great importance to the calorie content of paints. The colors of the sky and the earth, mixed with sunlight, harmonize with each other.
