About work

The miniature you see is called “Dervesh Dance” and is based on the work of the same name by Kamoliddin Behzod. It shows the harmony of soul and body. In the 16th and 17th centuries, dervishes danced this way during the “zikr” ceremony, and it was during these centuries that such miniatures became popular.
In miniature, one can feel the natural dynamism and spiritual intensity that surrounds all participants. In the center of the picture, two old men and two middle-aged people are dancing. Their clothes are also symbolic: the brighter the color, the younger the character. The rhythmic movements of the hands, the slight swaying of the multicolored necklaces made the state of mind even more exaggerated.
