About work
In this picture, the artist depicts a character typical of the Turkic peoples. Dervishes have a unique way of life, they are poor, wandering ascetics of Sufi sects. This image is embodied in the picture. The dervish dress is dyed in bright saturated colors: a chapan made of olacha fabric, an old small headdress and a long stick are auxiliary details in creating the image. The focus is on the expression on his face. Although he is an old man with gray hair and a beard, his gaze is sharp and wisdom is reflected in it. Through this image, the author managed to reflect the unusual appearance of dervishes in an oriental spirit.
