About work
This work is a replica of the famous 16th-century miniature "Young Nobleman and Dervish in Conversation" now in the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto. The composition of the work depicts two opposite characters. The contrast is exaggerated through their appearance and clothing. This parable is able to philosophically illuminate a moment in domestic life. Calorite uses bright colors and, of course, the golden color characteristic of Persian miniatures. The dynamics of the characters, the beauty of the scenery, and the chosen plot gave the work a light spirit. The technique used shows that miniature art is highly developed.
