About work
This painting depicts the dream of a lover-singer Boborahim Mashrab. Several images are created in the composition of the picture. The protagonist Mashrab fell asleep with music in his hands, intoxicated with love. The figure of the image is depicted in a singing pose: one arm is raised up, knees are bent, one leg is placed on top of the other. The dress is very simple, but clean and tidy. Angels are flying around. One is depicted face to face, with veils pulled down over their faces, as if singing, so that Mashrab can sleep peacefully. Two other characters are placed on the side of the legs. Although the angels are represented as beautiful girls with white wings, they are different from each other. Additional details: an empty tin can, a book and a brush indicate the poet's passion. We know that in Eastern literature Mashrab is a singer of divine love, a poet who sings the name and love of God. This is what the artist tried to show in the composition of the work. Colorful coloring increased its attractiveness and gave the picture a romantic mood. The artist managed to convey to the viewer the divine love of the poet, consecrating the aesthetic soul and love suffering, thanatographic motifs in the picture.
